Fernando Cuevas is a Native Miamian Visual Effects artist of Cuban-Nicaraguan descent. Growing up in Florida gave him the advantage of frequent visits to Disney World. From the moment he realized that a career in Animation was possible, his entire education has been focused on this ultimate goal. In High School he learned the basics of digital media and graduated with a Certificate of OCP-A Desktop Publishing Assistant, OCP-B Design Technician. While studying at Miami Dade College, he landed a graphic designer position as the menu designer for Healthy Happens Here - Restaurant Initiative, a city-wide campaign under the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County. After graduation, he was accepted by Lynn University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Animation. He committed himself fully into learning everything he could about his craft, applying a philosophy to become at least 1% better every day. upon completion of his undergrad, he continued to pursue Lynn University's graduate program for visual effects. Once again, discovering new ways to better himself and his knowledge. During this time, he worked as a freelance visual effects artist and has lent his expertise to numerous independent films. These films include: the award winning "The Only one in time", "zeta", "Wonder woman red", "Bags into beds" animated short film, and many more.
